Hey y’all! if you’ve been keeping up with the blog you’ll know that this will only be the second blog post this month. It’s not for lack of trying to get more blog posts up, but I had a number of personal, family issues. Add that to my lack of planning and two sets of Hell Week, there was no way I was going to be writing very many blog posts. It’s been a rough past few weeks, both physically and mentally and I’m glad Spring Break is around the corner. But, I have pretty high hopes for March.
You’ve probably guessed that I didn’t get very much done this month so I’m not going to bore you by going through each of my February goals.
I literally didn’t accomplish a single goal. Not one.
But next month will be a good month. Or at least, I hope it will.
Set-Up My Bullet Journal for March
Last month, I didn’t actually set up February in my planner until halfway through. I know, I know, shame one me. But it gets worse. When I did finally set it up, I didn’t actually put any plans or anything in, which defeats the purpose of having a planner. Yeah, last month was a bit (okay, a lot) of a train wreck.
So this month, I have to both set up my monthly and weekly spreads and actually use them.
Yoga 3 Times a Week
I need this now more than ever. I’ve been extremely stressed out this month and I have definitely not been handling it well. So this month I definitely want to get back into the habit of doing yoga everyday just to give myself a sense of calm.
Journal Once a Week
This goal has the same idea as the one above this. I’ve journaled before but never consistently. It wasn’t something that I ever took seriously or something that had any real intention. But for these next few weeks, I want to journal with the intention of exploring my mental health throughout the week.
Of course I’ll include stories over the week and things that you find in a normal journal. But I really want the focus to be on how I feel mentally and analyzing why I’m feeling the way that I am.
This is the goal that I’m most concerned about because it’s going to be the most difficult to commit to. I don’t know whether or not I’m actually going to enjoy this one. We’ll see at the end of the month.
Get Belay Certified
Still the same goal as last month but I should be able to actually get it done this month. Like I said last month, I have a friend who’s interested in getting certified with me so we need to set up a time. But, if she’s changed her mind, then I’ll do it by myself.
Write 2 posts in advance
Next week is Spring Break which means I’ll have quite a bit of time to do some writing. I know I’ll be able to knock this out pretty easily. I might even get out more but I’m not putting that pressure on myself.
Update my “About Me” page
This goal has been pushed into March because I want to do it and because I’ll have the time to. Because Spring Break is around the corner, this one should also be pretty easy to accomplish. … As long as I actually figure out what I want it to say.
Although February was a flop, there were some good things that happened. I hung out with the girls on my hall, made pigs in a blanket (among other food), and watched the Super Bowl. I mean, the Super Bowl wasn’t great but those pigs in a blanked sure were. I also went with Triasha over at Making My Way to visit one of our best friends on her campus and meet her boyfriend (who I think is pretty cool). And another one of my friends got his dissertation for his PhD approved! It wasn’t a completely terrible month but March will be better.
My goals for March are more manageable and are focused on getting me back to being 100%. And most of them are going to pretty fun, I think.
What about you guys? What goals do you have planned for March? Where there any great parts to February?
